Maui is one of the most beautiful and diverse islands in the Hawaiian chain, offering a range of activities and attractions that will appeal to all travel styles. We landed in Maui in 2016 and it was one of my favourite places I’ve ever visited. The beaches, towns, food and attraction were absolutely perfect. We rented a camper van and explored for a few days, and then enjoyed the rest of our visit in a few different hotels.

When we visited, we didn’t have our son yet, but we’re planning to bring him in 2025 and plan to visited some of the same placed that we did in 2016. Here is a little guide to the top attractions in Maui by area.

Northwest Maui:
The Blow Holes – The Blow Holes are located in the coastal area of Nāpili, on the northwest side of Maui. They are a series of natural ocean vents that shoot water up into the air as waves crash against the shore. The height and force of the water spray can vary depending on the size of the waves and the tides, making it a unique and dynamic attraction. Visitors can view the blow holes from a safe distance, and it is best to visit during high tide for the most dramatic show.

It is a unique and iconic landmark, shaped like a heart, and is a popular spot for visitors to take photos. The heart-shaped rock is easily accessible and is a fun and picturesque destination for those visiting the area.
