Star Wars fans, gather around! Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is home to a highly-anticipated land – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This exciting area is designed to transport guests to the planet of Batuu and immerse them in the world of Star Wars like never before. Here’s what you can expect during your Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge visit.
Attractions: The centerpiece of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, where guests can take control of the legendary spacecraft and embark on a thrilling adventure. And, of course, the Rise of the Resistance. In addition, the land offeatures a variety of themed shopping and dining experiences and interactive experiences like the Star Wars Datapad, which allows guests to participate in various missions and interact with the land in unique ways.





Shops: From custom lightsabers to rare collectibles, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has various shopping options for Star Wars fans of all ages. Browse the selection of souvenirs at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, or create your own custom lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop or droid at the Droid Depot. We created our own droid and it was such a fun experience.



Food and Beverages: Dine like a true Star Wars fan at the themed eateries in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters. Sample galactic cuisine, like the blue milk from the original Star Wars trilogy, or enjoy a quick bite at the food stalls scattered throughout the land. Remember to check out Oga’s Cantina; the drinks are remarkable, and the atmosphere feels like you’re in episode IV. The drink menu offers something for everyone. I enjoyed a glass of Goldschmidt Vineyards Toniray, Sonoma (teal-colored wine), which the bartender told me was custom-designed for the cantina. My son had a mocktail that fizzed, and my husband enjoyed a cocktail. We wanted to relax for a bit during our allotted time at Oga’s (no more than 45 minutes) so we brought in an uncrustable and a few other snacks for our son. Entertainment: The excitement never ends in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Something is always happening in this immersive land, from live musical performances to encounters with characters from the Star Wars universe.



The Rise of the Resistance: Attention all Star Wars fans, are you ready for the ride of your life? Here’s what you can expect during your visit to this epic adventure.
Storyline: The Rise of the Resistance puts guests in a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will board a transport ship to join the Resistance and become part of a larger story within the Star Wars universe.

Technology: The Rise of the Resistance is designed to be a multi-sensory experience, using cutting-edge technology to bring the story to life. From lifelike animatronics to detailed sets, guests will feel like they’ve been transported to a galaxy far away.


Interactive Experience: The Rise of the Resistance is not just a ride; it’s an interactive experience. Guests will encounter characters from the Star Wars universe and be put in the middle of the action, making choices that impact the story’s outcome.


Length of the Attraction: The Rise of the Resistance is a long, immersive experience lasting approximately 20 minutes. It is a combination of a motion-based ride and a walk-through experience, making it one of the most unique attractions in Disney World. Make sure to book the Lighting Lane and pay the extra to avoid the two-hour lineup!
